there must be a reason why i'm showing you all these pictures. simply because of one particular reason.
it's junhan 23rd birthday yesterday as at 28 may 2009. on that particular day he turned 23. one year older. one year wiser.
there are lots of memories that have been spent between the 3 of us (me, jiha & junhan) despite that we only met during our last semester of school. although i wasn't there during the 1st day of semester 6, i could never imagine how he approached us & wanted to be part of our team.
it is a long story.
we didn't talk to each other before. just a simply hi & bye in lecture rooms. but during our 5th semester, most of us got splitted due to industrial attachment. thus, those who went for IAP were placed together as a class in semester 6. so, left with me & jiha only coz sheila & chloe proceed for final year project class. not that they wanna but we all have no choice although we have placed our choice. in our class by then, we need to form a group of at least 3 students & so that's when he came into the picture. he knocked into jiha's chair & said so nicely that he wanna join our group instead. without any hesistation, jiha agreed and so do i.
mr tan, our property management lecturer ever told everyone, upon choosing a group it's either we will be very close friends or end up splitting up from close friends to enemy. and this really happened to us. me & jiha became very very very good & close friends with junhan. and sadly, sheila & zara then became foe. sigh. but i know everything happens for a reason. and i'm glad that despite our separate class, the three of us manage to become so close once again with sheila.
currently, the four of us become close friends. we love each other. we care for each other. jiha will be continuing her studies in NUS soon in august & i'll be meeting her. junhan still serving the country but will be migrating to australia to pursue his studies in 2 years time. he even have the intention to become a PR over there. sheila is working full-time in building line & she will be getting married soon in a month time. despite all the different routes, we still part of a team. and i believe it will stay on forever.
with that, happy 23rd birthday my dearest bro aka nightmare. may all our dreams come true. you know that we will always pray for you. and hoping that everything will move on smoothly in your life. congratulations on your acceptance to UNSW in the course of 2 years majoring in construction & maintenance. by then, i believe that all of us will miss you. you will be admitted in feb 2011 - still got much time to spend with each other. good luck in everything you do k?
well, i have another chapter to share with you.
and it's my exam results.
exactly at 9am, i logged on to my school webpage, thinking about my exam results. however, it came to my attention that my results will only be out at 11am. so, i waited for another 2 hours. being nervous. hoping for miracle to happen as well. i really have no idea how well can i pass all those modules that i've taken especially my real estat finance which i think i gonna flung.
nevertheless, i really thank god. i was so surprised & shocked seeing my exam results. check this out.

GIS for real estate: B-
yup! i passed. and indeed very well for my management. thanks to cik din & mr lai for all their teaching & guidance upon my projects & management studies. they have been there to give me information dealing with management & maintenance studies. thanks a lot.
afterall, i'm happy with my results. although i did get C for 2 modules, i'm still happy coz i thought that i did quite badly for those modules. alhamdulilah.
now, it's time for me to think what are the modules that i wanna take up next semester. and hopefully some modules i will be able to take together with jiha too. i'm looking forward to that. studying together again. project together again. hehe.
before i end this entry, i wanna thank all these following people who always been there to guide me through my studies, supporting me in my studies & giving me encourgement as well especially when i'm stressed with my studies & group work.

exams' over...!!!!!!!!!!
it's like finally. stress gone. everything got to do with school will be gone, away from my mind for like almost 3 months ahead. yup yup. i'm having my 3 months vacation break. results will be out then. bidding of modules for the next semester will start all over again. and without i realising it, it has been a year since i'm schooling. that's fast. 2.5 years more to go & by then i will be graduating. start new chapter of working adult. and more things to come in the future which i myself wouldn't know what lies ahead in years to come.
oh well, i didn't publish my last 2 papers. econs & gis. i can't tell you what's the questions are like for econs coz i didn't manage to get back my paper. they took back the question paper. basically, 60 macro economics questions. 2 hours. and overall i think, oukaye. not hoping for a distinction. but if i manage to get a C or B would be great.
my gis. 2 hours paper with 4 questions having 2 sub-questions each. really not enough time. but i love the paper. check the questions.
question 1
(a) explain the following terms & phrases: spatial data, attribute data, spatial referencing, spatial entities. (10 marks)
(b) explain the importance of map projections for users of gis. (10 marks)
question 2
(a) discuss the advantages & disadvantages of adopting either a vector or a raster approach to data analysis. (10 marks)
(b) using at least 2 examples, discuss the different types of queries used in gis. (10 marks)
question 3
(a) what factors can be considered when selecting a gis for an organization? what are the two factors you consider to be the most important, and why? (15 marks)
(b) you are asked to convert a paper map to a digital data set. what methods can you use fot the tas? what are the advantages & disadvantages of each method? (15 marks)
question 4
(a) explain the difference between location errors & topological errors. (10 marks)
(b) you have been hired to suggest optimum locations for 5 schools in a new town that is being developed. suggest how you might approach the problem using location-allocation methods & spatial analysis that are available in gis. you have the dollowing data available: street netwrok of the new town & reserved land parcels. your proposed sites should be located for maximum accessibility & a minimum furthest distance traveled for students living in the new town. (20 marks)
overall, i think not bad as well.
we shall see how's the results will be later on.
hmmm, jiha was back from her vacation at bintan. seeing all those pictures make me feel so jealous. haha. how i wish i could be there as well. and damn! she has played golf. bila lak i nye turn nak main golf lak kn? hahaha. baby, i'm waiting. *hint*
my mission is to work definitely. but somehow i couldn't get a temporary full-time job this time around. sad. i'm just left with my current part-time. although the pay is kinda low, i left with no choice. rather to work than i have nothing in my pocket right?

last year, the colleagues & i went to celebrate cailing's birthday by having a lunch outing at swensens (jurong point).
this year, despite the recession, we went out for a dinner outing at k-box (cineleisure orchard). karaoke session for the 7 of us who were there together with buffet dinner. straight from office, i picked them up right after my paper. the event starts at 7pm till 11pm but yet, it didn't end there.
having me & baby, huimin & cailing, skye and charmaine & mike, we had solo singings as well as duet singings. frankly speaking, i don't have a great voice & i can't really sing as well, but ever since i'm with baby, it just started to grow from there. my 1st time to karaoke is also with baby, our 1st date. haha. suddenly, it appears in my mind. recalling back those moments. oukaye, better stop.
back to the story, baby & i did sang those duet songs such as dua insan, endless love, tonight i celebrate my love to you, sometimes we touch, way back into love. others were duet between baby & mike, huimin & cailing, cailing & charmaine. there's even a duet between charmaine & mike. all of us were like cheering them up. you know, there's story put up between them. hahaha.
